Mountaineering Suit

The Chinese Consumers Association and the Chinese Mountaineering Association jointly released the results of the comparative test of domestic mountaineering suits in Beijing cross country pioneer club, and called for the establishment of a special standard as soon as possible to protect the interests of consumers.

With the enthusiasm of national fitness, outdoor sports products are increasing, and consumers are paying more and more attention to the quality of these products. According to statistics, the domestic outdoor consumption market has maintained a high growth rate of 40% for several years. Last year, the consumption of climbing shoes and clothing exceeded 10 billion yuan. In view of the large amount of outdoor clothing and daily life dual-use mountaineering suits (assault clothes) purchased by consumers, the Chinese Consumers Association randomly selected 10 mountaineering clothes samples, namely, Pathfinder, Ai Wei, north, ewe bird, Keller stone, Bbu Ryak, OZARK, camel, Saint Fred, and mostat, and commissioned the national fiber quality supervision and inspection center to carry out a comparative experiment.

This comparative test is divided into three parts: the first part is the basic safety performance, the second part is the regular use performance, the third part is functional. The comparison test involved 5 categories of 6 basic safety performance testing items (banned decomposable aromatic amine dyes, formaldehyde content, dry rubbing fastness, water fastness, alkali resistance / acid perspiration fastness). The results show that the mainstream brands are of good quality.

The formaldehyde content of most products is far below the standard prescribed value, and there is no problem in color fastness. The product is not only light in weight, but also has good functional indexes such as moisture permeability, water proofing and windbreak. The comparison test shows that the basic safety performance of the 10 brands tested is in line with the requirements of the relevant national standards. The regular wear performance of the products is also in line with the requirements of the specified product standards. Most of the products are worthy of the name in terms of functional quality, but there are still some problems in the individual products.

At present, there is no national standard for outdoor sportswear in China. Most products use the product standard of ordinary clothing. There is a big gap in professional content. It can only be used for reference by other industries or departments, which is not conducive to the standardized development and quality improvement of outdoor sports products. For this reason, the Chinese Consumers Association also suggests that the departments concerned should set up national standards as soon as possible in order to make outdoor sportswear develop orderly and healthfully.
