The deal led to the Alexander cotton Exporters Association's 2009-10 cotton season sales of 72757 tons, valued at $170 million 550 thousand, the official said.


Egypt is expected to sell 80 thousand tons of cotton in the cotton season, the agriculture minister said in February.


At this time last year, the Alexander cotton Exporters Association sold 18416 tons of cotton and sales amounted to $47 million 950 thousand.
