2008/7/30 0:00:00 85

In July 28th, the Himalayan Times reported that the export of Nepalese cashmere products declined sharply in the past few years. In the 2000-2001 fiscal year, the export of Nepalese cashmere was 7 billion 500 million rupees, and now the export volume is only 1 billion 500 million rupees.

In order to regain lost market share, Nepal cashmere association is registered trademark of cashmere products, and established a code of conduct supervisory body to punish enterprises that cannot comply.

The Secretary of the Ministry of industry and commerce, OAH, emphasized that enterprises must be bound by the code of conduct to protect the quality of products.

It is understood that Nepal cashmere products, due to lack of trademark identification and quality supervision, have lost most of the international market in the competition of neighboring countries.
